If you are having difficulty seeing your surroundings without blurriness, it may be time for eyeglasses. The first step in obtaining vision correction is to make an appointment at Eye Street Optical in Chantilly, VA to meet with one of our opticians for an eye care evaluation. Here is a rundown of what to expect when you come to our facility for a new set of eyeglasses.
Your Vision History Is Assessed
Upon your arrival, we will give you paperwork to fill out pertaining to your current vision and concerns. Make sure to indicate whether you are taking any prescription medication or medical conditions you are dealing with. Describe the type of vision trouble you are experiencing so that one of our opticians can check on possible difficulties that are causing your problem. If you have vision insurance, bring along your card, so we can reach out to your provider to determine payment information without delay.
Eyeglasses Can Be Selected
We provide a variety of eyeglass frame styles to choose from. When you come to us with the prescription you obtained from your eye doctor, you have the opportunity to select frames that suit your features. Our staff members are available to help you with the decision process. Try on several types of frames to see how they look upon your face. If you have a particular type in mind, we may be able to order it for you if we do not have it available in-house.
Your Glasses Are Constructed
After you pick out frames, the lenses need to be inserted. This is usually done at the time of your appointment. After your eyeglasses are complete, you can try them on in our facility. Our opticians will work with you to ensure that the glasses you’ve selected will give you both the look that you want and the vision correction that you need.
